Presenting Jerry Winters - A Cybertek Exclusive!

Course Description:

This hands-on programming class, taught by Jerry Winters, introduces the VBA programming environment to AutoCAD users. This class will familiarize students with the Visual Basic Language and lay the foundation for automating repetitive tasks and performing calculation-intensive operations in AutoCAD through VBA programming. Students will see numerous real-world applications that show the power of VBA and VB customization of AutoCAD.

The first two days of the class will cover the VBA programming language syntax, the environment, and how to execute AutoCAD commands through VBA programming. Day 3 of the class expands on the basic commands and introduces more advanced VBA programming constructs. Day 4 will pull it all together as students create a project from start to finish.

The textbook used in the class (AutoCAD VisualBasics VBA - A guide for Non-Programmers) was written by instructor Jerry Winters from VB CAD. Students will keep the textbook and will have access to all of the source code examples in the book and taught in class. Candidates for this class must be familiar with AutoCAD. Prerequisites include extensive knowledge of AutoCAD 2000x. Experience in AutoLISP programming, or other programming languages, is helpful, but not required.
